Wow the colorbond roof completed in a day

Its the day after Australia Day and surprise surprise the colorbond roof was completed. It was after 5pm when we took the pictures and with the grey clouds the pictures makes the roof look more grey than brown. The roof and gutter colour is jasper.

The sarking has also been wrapped around the house.

Framing Completed

Wow, the frames have completed and its looking pretty good.

Our electrician who will be installing our split systems spotted a couple of very nice storage areas under the roof. Great access from the garage too. Maybe this split was a good idea afterall.

Truss the birds

The truss have landed on top of the wall frames. The birds think we have built them a nice little bird house. I hope they going to help pay the mortgage too.

Come on in the door is wide open.

I thought the house was made of bricks lol

How exciting its starting to take shape as the timber frames are quickly put up.

Ok, we have the entrance, the view from the kitchen window and Bedroom 3 or 4 with the stair case to the top level behind it.

Also, some views from behind the house looking in on the kitchen/family area.

Termite Kordon bleu and no more lightning please

Wow, Happy New Year to all and the orange strips have just been laid. We can only celebrate as the start to the new building year kicked off earlier than we had expected.

Tell me lightning don't strike in the same spot twice right? One of our gum trees have been struck which we think is a little too close for comfort.
